LPG Price HIKE! Cooking gas gets costlier by Rs 25 per cylinder from today - check price in your city
The oil marketing companies (OMCs) such as BPCL, HPCL and IOCL have raised the cooking gas (LPG - Liquefied Petroleum Gas) price by Rs 25.5 each per 14.2 kg cylinder effective from July 1, 2021.

This means now the cooking gas in Mumbai and Delhi will be available for Rs 834.5 per 14.2 kg cylinder as compared to Rs 809 per 14.2kg cylinder earlier.

Generally, state-owned oil companies change the price of gas cylinders (LPG Price) on the first day of every month. However, they didn’t raise it in the month of May and had also cut Rs 10 per 14.2kg cylinder in April, while the prices were increased in the month of February and March.
In Kolkata, the rate of LPG cylinder has increased from Rs 835.50 to Rs 861 per cylinder, which is one of the highest in metro cities, followed by Chennai, wherein the LPG cylinder price in this southern city will be now Rs 850.50 as against Rs 825 till yesterday.
For the LPG cylinder in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, the user will have to pay Rs 872.50 per cylinder, while in Ahmedabad, Gujarat the price will be Rs 841.50 per cylinder from today.
Since the beginning of 2021, the price of LPG cylinder in January was Rs 694, which was increased to Rs 719 per cylinder in February. On February 15, the price was increased to Rs 769. In March, the price of the LPG cylinder was reduced to Rs 819. After the reduction of Rs 10 in early April, the price of domestic LPG in Delhi had gone up to Rs 809. In a year, the prices of LPG cylinders have increased by Rs 140.50. The above price is with respect to the Delhi area.
