LPG gas cylinder price just got hiked - on first day of January 2021 ! Check new rate here

As LPG gas cylinder price continues to rise, the rates charged by oil companies for cooking gas were hiked today - the very first day of New Year 2021. This was revealed in the LPG prices released by Oil marketing companies for January. However, in a respite, these companies have not made any changes in the prices of gas cylinders weighing 14.2 kg. This hike has been made in the prices of commercial cylinders.  

In the national capital Delhi, 19-kg LPG cylinder price has been hiked to Rs 1349 as against Rs 1332 earlier in December last year. With this move, 19-kg LPG cylinder price has been increased by Rs 17 in the national capital. The price of a 14.2-kg gas cylinder remains Rs 694.

Earlier, oil market companies had increased prices of cooking gas twice in December last.
In the biggest hike in a single month, oil companies had raised cooking gas prices by as much as Rs 100 in December. The LPG gas cylinder price hike was effected by Rs 50 for the 14.kg cylinder twice over the fortnight in December last year.

Currently one 14.2kg LPG cylinder without subsidy in Delhi cost Rs 694. Though oil marketing companies, such as HPCL, BPCL, IOC increased the prices of commercial LPG cylinders, it kept the prices of 14.2 kg gas cylinder (without subsidy) stable at Rs 694.  

New Prices

In Kolkata, a 19-kg LPG cooking gas cylinder is priced at Rs 1410 as against Rs 1387.50 before hike. Here, 14. Kg cooking gas costs Rs 720.50 per cylinder. In Mumbai, new price for 19 kg cylinder is Rs 1297.50 as against Rs 1280. Prices of 14.2 kg gas cylinder (without subsidy) in Mumbai is also Rs 694.  In Chennai, a 19 kg cylinder price has increased from Rs  1446.50 to Rs 1463.50 per cylinder. A 14.2 kg cylinder in Southern state costs Rs 710 per cylinder.
