LPG cylinder price cut: Commercial LPG cylinder (19-kg) price has been cut by a whopping Rs 91.50 per tank by the oil marketing companies in line with softening international rates. After today's cut, LPG cylinders in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai and other parts of the country will cost less.

Accordingly, people in Delhi will have to shell out Rs 1,885 against Rs 1,976.50. A 19-kg tank in Kolkata will now cost Rs 1,995.50 while in Mumbai and Chennai it will cost Rs 1,844 and Rs 2,045, respectively. 

The cost of household LPG cylinders (14.2-kg tank) has not been changed. A 14.2-kg gas cylinder costs Rs 1,053 in Delhi. 

Earlier in May, the commercial LPG cylinder price had hit an all-time high of Rs 2,354 following the rise in energy prices.

Notably, LPG prices differ from state to state depending on local taxes such as VAT. Prices are higher in states with higher taxes.

LPG prices are revised at the beginning of each month by oil marketing companies.
