LPG cylinder booking: Get your cooking gas delivered at home! Just apply and pay online - This is how Sahaj helps

For faster and easier LPG cylinder booking, the Indian Oil launched Sahaj (e-SV) which helps in releasing cooking gas connections, where delivery will be done at your door. All you need to do is apply online and make payment using Sahaj method. Sahaj was launched with an intention to eliminate multiple visits to the distributor’s showroom by the prospective consumers for completing formalities and problems arising out of them. It will also cut down on the time taken for release of connection.  The ‘e-SV’ initiative enables the prospective customers to register, make payment online for availing LPG connection at their doorstep without visiting the LPG distributorship. 

Here’s how you can book your LPG cylinder using Sahaj:

Step 1 - Register  for new connection by filling Online KYC Form & uploading POI & POA. Under POA list, documents like aadhaar UID, driving license, lease agreement, voter ID, telephone or electricity bill, ration card, bank/credit card statement among others are needed. Meanwhile, under POI list - aadhaar number, passport number, PAN card number, voter id and driving licenses are included. 

Step 2 - Online Inter Company Dedupe of KYCs. Apart from documents mentioned above, a passport size photograph and bank account details is required. 

Step 3 - After submitting these KYCs, you will have to wait for formation of Waitlist for the dedupe cleared cases. 

Step 4 - Later, release of waitlist by distributors will be done by verification of POI & POA with entered KYC data.

Step 5 - Once waitlist is out, an intimation will be done to customers via email & SMS to proceed with request & select the equipments and the payment mode he/ she desire. 

Step 6 - You can choose two methods of payment. Firstly,  pay online by selecting mode of payments i.e by credit/ debit cards or net banking. Secondly, visit distributorship for making the payment.

Step 7 - Once payment done, home delivery will be done. e SV given in mail & SMS. 

SAHAJ ‘e-SV’ is the electronic subscription voucher which has the details of number of cylinders and pressure regulator loaned to the consumer against the security deposit. This document is emailed to the customer upon release of LPG connection online.
