Love Aaj Kal box office collection day 3: Imtiaz Ali's latest film starring Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan in the lead roles, Love Aaj Kal has been rejected by the audience and has emerged as a box office disaster. The film had released to a good opening despite poor reviews but its collections have dipped over the last two days - the film has managed to earn a total of Rs 28.51 crore over the first weekend.
Love Aaj Kal had earned Rs 12.10 crore on the first day of release which can be considered a healthy collection. However, it witnessed a steep decline over Saturday and Sunday. On the third day, the film only managed to earn Rs 6.85 crore. Movie critic, business analyst and influencer Taran Adarsh believes that the film got Valentine's Day advantage on Friday but will have a tough weekend ahead.
"#LoveAajKal is rejected... Dips on Day 2, falls flat on Day 3... Advantage #ValentinesDay [Day 1], else *3-day total* would be lower... Tough road ahead [weekdays]... Fri 12.40 cr, Sat 8.01 cr, Sun 8.10 cr. Total: ₹ 28.51 cr. #India biz. #LoveAajKal [2009] weekend: ₹ 27.86 cr," Adarsh tweeted.

Notably, the film has managed to earn marginally more than what Love Aaj Kal had in 2009.
Film trade analyst, critic and influencer Sumit Kadel believes that Love Aaj Kal is a box office disaster and its lifetime collection can be less than Rs 40 crore. "Film lifetime collection is looking to wrap below ₹ 40 cr. DISASTER," he tweeted.
Yet, the film has emerged as Kartik Aaryan's third biggest opener after last year's Pati Patni Aur Woh (Rs 35.94 cr) and Luka Chuppi (Rs 32.13 cr).
