Lok Sabha Elections Phase 1 Voting on April 19: As India prepares for the mega, five-yearly polls to elect the government at the Centre, the Election Commission of India (ECI)—an autonomous constitutional body that manages the biggest election process on the planet—has made all the necessary preparations for the first phase of voting on April 19. In this phase, electors will cast their ballots for as many as 102 Parliamentary Constituencies (73 General and 29 ST/SC seats) spread across 21 States/UTs as well as 92 Assembly Constituencies in the State Assembly Elections in Arunachal and Sikkim.
