Lok Sabha elections 2019: 'Dream Girl' Hema Malini is in the news again. The actor-turned-politician on Monday filed nominations for Mathura seat in Uttar Pradesh. This is the second time Malini is contesting from Mathura constituency. In 2014, Malini had registered a big win against her opponents. This year, Malini will likely face a tough fight from Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) candidate Narendra Singh-  he has also filed his nominations yesterday. Singh's RLD is a part of the grand alliance of Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi Party and Mayawati's Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP).

Apart from Malini and Singh, six other candidates also filed nominations from Mathura constituency of Uttar Pradesh. While talking to reporters after filing her nominations, Malini hinted this might be her last election. "There are several committed new young aspirants in the party...I would canvas for them if they would contest from Mathura in the next Lok Sabha election," she said.

Malini's nomination papers have revealed the details of her property. As per rules, candidates have to declare their property in front of the election commission before filing their nominations. As per her nomination papers, Malini is the owner of property worth Rs 125 crore. As per a new by Hindi daily Hindustan, Malini's husband and actor Dharmendra owns property worth approx Rs 125 crore. The total property of the couple is over Rs 250 crore. In 2014, Malini's owned property worth Rs 66 crore. This means, her property has almost doubled in the last five years.
