Lok Sabha Elections 2019: Elections are here and in the next few weeks it won't be surprising if you come across scores of reports of violation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) by politicians and parties. The MCC prohibits parties and politicians from doing several things before the polls. This year, you can catch those violating the MCC and immediately report to the Election Commission for action with your android phone. For this, the Election Commission has made a cVIGIL app available on the PlayStore. With the cVIGIL App, you can record on an Android mobile phone and immediately report to the election authorities any violation of Model Code of Conduct, an incident of intimidation or inducement. This is a simple and user-friendly Android-based Mobile App. All you need to do is simply click a picture or record a video and briefly describe the activity before uploading it on the cVIGIL mobile app.

Flying Squads investigate the matter and the Returning Officer takes the decision. The status of cVIGIL is shared with the complainant within 100 minutes."
