As the Centre on Saturday adopted an exit step towards the nationwide lockdown, the Delhi Metro will remain suspended till further orders, the DMRC said.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said: "In light of the guidelines issued by the government, Metro services will remain closed for commuters until further notice. Our helpline services 155370 shall also not be available. You may reach us at helpline@dmrc.org."
The Centre announced on Saturday that the restrictions will be limited only to the containment zones up to June 30.
Even during lockdown 4.0 between May 18 and May 31, the Delhi government had demanded from the Centre to allow Metro services in the city.
However, the demand was rejected, while other public transport services started in the city from May 19.
The Metro in Delhi has been closed since March 22.
According to official data, there are 264 Metro stations, 2,200 coaches and over 1,100 escalators and 1,000 lifts for common use. With a network of 389-km across the National Capital Region, the Metro was ferrying about 60 lakh people per day in February.
