KRK Hospitalised: Kamaal R Khan rushed to hospital following arrest over controversial tweet
Kamaal R Khan Hospital: The news agency ANI shared an update.
Kamaal R Khan Hospital: Kamaal Rashid Khan, 47, who was seen in Bigg Boss 3, has been admitted to Shatabdi Hospital in the Kandivali area of Mumbai after complaining of chest pain on Tuesday evening, as per ANI report.
The news agency ANI shared an update that reads, "Maharashtra | Kamal Rashid Khan was brought to Shatabdi Hospital in the Kandivali area of Mumbai today evening after he complained of having chest pain. He was arrested by Malad Police in Mumbai today, over his controversial tweet in 2020".
Earlier, Khan was arrested by Malad police from the Mumbai airport late Monday night after he arrived from Dubai. He was arrested over a tweet made in the year 2020 about Akshay Kumar and Ram Gopal Verma. The city police claimed that his posts were communal and he targeted Bollywood personalities.
KRK was produced before additional chief metropolitan magistrate S P Kekan at Borivali court on Tuesday.
Police sought his custody for four days, saying they needed to find out at whose behest he was posting such tweets from a foreign country despite knowing that it might create communal tension. Police also needed to ascertain if he was allegedly trying to extort money from filmmakers or stars for not posting negative reviews of movies, the remand application said.
Police alleged that Khan mainly targeted Bollywood artists and was trying to create unrest between two groups of society by posting inflammatory statements and tweets against influential persons. Khan's lawyers opposed the remand plea, contending that his tweets were not inflammatory.
Hailing from Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh, KRK had acted and produced films like "Sitam", "Deshdrohi" and is currently making "Deshdrohi-2".
