The reopening of Kartarpur will assist thousands of devotees, largely Sikhs, to visit the final resting place of Guru Nanak in Pakistan.
Kartarpur Corridor Reopen: On Tuesday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah informed that the Corridor to Sikh Pilgrimage Kartarpur Sahib will reopen from Wednesday, November 17, 2021.

In a subsequent tweet, he said, "The nation is all set to celebrate the Prakash Utsav of Shri Guru Nanak Dev ji on 19th of November and I am sure that PM @NarendraModi govt’s decision to reopen the Kartarpur Sahib corridor will further boost the joy and happiness across the country."

Zee Business reporter Ambarish Pandey reported that RT-PCR report, vaccine certificates are required for travel. Today, the first batch of around 100 people will visit the Gurudwara. On Thursday, November 18, 2021, around 100 devotees will visit and on Friday, November 19, Guru Nanak Jayanti, around 200 devotees will visit.
It must be noted that the Kartarpur Sahib is a seven kilometre long corridor joins the Indian border to Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Pakistan. It became operational in 2019 and was inaugurated by Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan.
As per an ANI report, the corridor was shut in wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The reopening of Kartarpur will assist thousands of devotees, largely Sikhs, to visit the final resting place of Guru Nanak in Pakistan. Alternatively, the devotees are visiting the shrine going via the Attari-Wagah border which requires a visa.
Furthermore, it must also be remembered that upon their arrival in Pakistan, all devotees will have temperature check, masks and social dispensing are necessary. Also, sanitization tunnel installed in the gurudwara complex.
