Shahid Kapoor starrer Kabir Singh is set to cross Rs 150 crore collections today. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh today tweeted, "#KabirSingh benchmarks...Crossed ₹ 50 cr: Day 3 ₹ 100 cr: Day 5 Will cross ₹ 150 cr today [Day 9] It’s difficult to guesstimate the *lifetime biz* of #KabirSingh, since the film refuses to slow down... Best trending film of 2019 [so far]. India biz. ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTER." According to Adarsh, Kabir Singh had the best "second friday" of 2019. It collected Rs 12.21 crore.
Adarsh said the film is doing exceptionally well. "#KabirSingh continues to weave magic at BO, despite new films cutting into the market share... Biz on [second] Fri is in double digits, which is exceptional... Will cross ₹ 150 cr today [second Sat]... [Week 2] Fri 12.21 cr. Total: ₹ 146.63 cr. India biz."
Film trade analyst Sumit Kadel predicted Kabir Singh will today become the third highest grosser of 2019 after Uri: The Surgical Strike, dethroning Akshay Kumar's Kesari. "Today (Second Saturday) #KabirSingh will become 3rd Highest Grosser of 2019 after #UriTheSurgicalStrike & #Bharat , film will dethrone #Kesari from number-3 spot. Film will definitely surpass Bharat LT Collection & most likely to dethrone Uri from No-1 spot as well."
Kabir Singh is a remake of Telugu film Arjun Reddy. It also stars Kiara Advani as the female lead. The film has broken several records in its nine days of release.
Kabir Singh finished a dream first week at the box office, with a massive earning of Rs 134.42 crore by the end of first week. The film had one of the biggest openings of 2019 and since then it had maintained the momentum. On Thursday, Kabir Singh added Rs 13.61 crore to its collection.
