Kabir Singh box office collection: Even as the focus remains on India vs New Zealand ICC ODI World Cup semi-final, Wednesday could be a big day for Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh which could emerge as the highest grossing Bollywood film of 2019 in the next 24 hours. On Tuesday, Kabir Singh earned Rs 3.20 crore despite the India-New Zealand match in Manchester (half-finished), taking its overall collection to a whopping Rs 243.17 crore. It now needs a little more than Rs 2 crore to go past Vicky Kaushal film 'Uri:The Surgical Strike' and become the biggest movie of the year.

Released in July this year, Uri had started slow but went on a dream run to earn over Rs 245 crore. It remains highest grosser of 2019 as of now, ahead of big releases like Salman Khan's Bharat and Indra Kumar's multi-starrer Total Dhamaal. Kabir Singh, on the other hand, had a good release and has since maintained the momentum despite facing box-office competition from Ayushmann Khurrana's Article 15 and Marvel's superhero flick 'Spiderman: Far from Home'. Both the other releases have done well.

"#KabirSingh remained steady on [third] Tue, despite #INDvNZ cricket match [#CWC19]... Will cross *lifetime biz* of #Uri today [Wed] and emerge highest grossing #Hindi film of 2019... Fri 5.40 cr, Sat 7.51 cr, Sun 9.61 cr, Mon 4.25 cr, Tue 3.20 cr. Total: ₹ 243.17 cr. India biz," movie critic, business analyst and influencer Taran Adarsh tweeted on Wednesday morning.

It is also set to become the 10th highest grossing Hindi film of all time, behind Dhoom 3. "#KabirSingh emerges the 10th highest grossing #Hindi film... 1. #Baahubali2 [#Hindi], 2. #Dangal, 3. #Sanju, 4. #PK, 5. #TigerZindaHai, 6. #BajrangiBhaijaan, 7. #Padmaavat, 8. #Sultan, 9. #Dhoom3, 10. #KabirSingh... #Uri moves to the 11th position. India biz," Adarsh tweeted.

The coming weekend would be interesting for Shahid Kapoor starrer though as Hrithik Roshan's highly-awaited 'Super 30' will hit the theatres on Friday. The film is based on the life of Anand Kumar and also stars Mrunal Thakur, Nandish Sandhu and Pankaj Tripathi in important roles. It features a run time of 2 hours and 34 minutes (154 minutes) and has been given a 'U' certificate.

Not just this, Kabir Singh would face another challenge in the World Cup final scheduled for Sunday afternoon. If the Indian cricket team reaches the final, Sunday collections of all the movies can go down drastically.
