Kaala box office collection WW - pre-release: Since Rajinikanth starrer movies are always big grossers, expectations are high from Kaala too. Not just that, teh film's worldwide pre-release business has also been stupendous. Prior to grand release across the globe last week on Thursday, the worldwide theatrical business has been stunning as the makers bagged Rs 155 crores through such rights, according to Andhra Box Office. Further, with all other rights of Kaala, which is a gangster drama directed by PA Ranjith, have been sold for Rs 75 crore, and makers have already bagged a record amount of Rs 230 crore. 
 
In the film, Nana Patekar, Huma Qureshi and Samuthirakani have played other pivotal roles, while the music has been composed by Santosh Narayanan for the movie released in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages simultaneously.
 
As Lyca Productions has released the movie across the globe, let us see area wise pre-release business of Kaala:
 
1. Tamil Nadu: Rs 60 Cr
2. AP/Nizam: Rs 33 Cr
3. Kerala: Rs 10 Cr
4. Rest of India: Rs 7 Cr
5. Overseas: Rs 45 Cr
Worldwide Theatrical Business Total: Rs 155 Cr
7. Broadcast: Rs 70 Cr
8. Music and others: Rs 5 Cr
Total Business: Rs 230 Cr
 
According to the report, the film will need to gross around Rs 280 cr (Tamil/Telgu/Hindi) exclusive Karnataka to be a hit and Rs 300 cr including Karnataka.
 
Notably, this Rajinikanth starrer has already picked up momentum at the box office and has managed to enter the super exclusive Rs 100 crore club. Although a debate around Kaala has started over politics, the box-office collections are least affected.

Kaala collection has already reached a figure of Rs 112.2 crore across the world by June 11, said Andhra Box Office, adding other southern states' earning figures that included Rs 4 crores in Kerala, Rs 6.5 crore in AP and Nizam, and Rs 4.6 crore in the rest of India.
