1. Over 400 companies-domestic and international made 1,113 offers to ISB students in 2017

 Indian School of Business (ISB) announced on Tuesday of registering 39% growth in number of recruiters visiting its placement season in 2017 on back of increase in demand for leadership roles from 
 the government think tanks, public and private sector. 

"The school witnessed a 39% increase in the number of recruiters participating in the current placements season," ISB said in a press release on Tuesday.   

 Over 400 companies-domestic and international made 1,113 offers to students of the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) class of 2017 with an average salary of around Rs 22 lakh.

Apart from the regular recruiters such as McKinsey & Co, BCG, Parthenon, AT Kearney, Apple, Microsoft, Citibank, Novartis, Siemens, Amazon, Cognizant, Hindustan Unilever, who were on campus, there were several new companies such as Jones Lang LaSalle, Havells, Revigo, P&G, Lending kart, Reliance Jio, Mindtree Consulting, L’Oreal,  Bain & Co and Roland Berger, cited ISB in a statement.

About 70 plus offers were made to ISB students for leadership roles by leading corporates including Aditya Birla Group, Citibank, Yes Bank, Philips India Ltd, Tech Mahindra, MAX, Mytrah Energy and Genpact.

The government of Andhra Pradesh which is the recruiter for the second consecutive year at ISB offered a total of 21 job offers to students.  

ISB students were the preferred choice for several public advocacy and strategy roles, the release said.

For the first time, they were chosen for roles of Executive Assistants to District Magistrates at select districts in the Andhra Pradesh state. Other roles offered were in the areas of Fin-Tech, Textiles, Tourism, and Infrastructure among others.

Consulting and IT/ITES sectors continued to be the largest recruiting sectors constituting 20% and 21%, respectively of total number of offers followed by BFSI and Healthcare & Pharma, cited the college. 

Indian School of Business (ISB) is located in Andhra Pradesh in South India and it offers post graduate programmes in management.
