INVITED! Food Corporation of India (FCI) issues new notice for e-tender - Check details
Food Corporation of India, Zonal Office, Kolkata, 10A Middleton Row, Kolkata 700 071 has invited E-tender for appointment of firms of Chartered Accountants, empanelled with Comptroller and Auditor General under two bid system for undertaking Internal Audit & Physical Verification of stocks in FCI, Bihar, West Bengal, Odisha and Jharkhand Regions under East zone for the period of 2018-19.

Earlier, FCI has rolled out a Tender Notice for Regular Internal transport contract for movement of Food grains and allied materials etc within FSD Main Depot Coimbatore by road from any point to any point basis through FCI lorry weighbridge and vice versa for a period of two years.
The Food Corporation of India was setup under the Food Corporation's Act 1964 , in order to fulfill following objectives of the Food Policy:
-Effective price support operations for safeguarding the interests of the farmers.
-Distribution of foodgrains throughout the country for public distribution system.
-Maintaining satisfactory level of operational and buffer stocks of foodgrains to ensure National Food Security
-Since its inception, FCI has played a significant role in India's success in transforming the crisis management oriented food security into a stable security system.
