International Day of Yoga 2016: Heres how India will celebrate the day

As the world is going to witness International Day of Yoga on Tuesday, June 21, India has planned massive events for the day.
On December 11, 2014, the United Nations General Assembly declared June 21 as "International Day of Yoga", a resolution piloted by India. The idea was supported by more than 170 countries. Sri Lanka was the first co-sponsors of the resolution, said a media report.

How Prime Minister Narendra Modi will celebrate:
According to media reports, Modi will be attending the second International Yoga Day programme at Chandigarh.
“On June 21, International Day of Yoga, I will join a programme in Chandigarh to practice yoga with them,” he said in 'Mann Ki Baat'radio programme.
Theme Song:
To celebrate the day, a "Yog Geet (Song) was released on Friday by the Minister of State (IC) for AYUSH Shripad Naik at New Delhi, said a PIB release.
As per the release, the song is of 3 minutes and 15 seconds in Hindi language. The song is written and produced by Deeraj Saraswat and Gandhar T.D. Jadhav and Gatha Jadhav are the singers. The Music of the song is composed by Sumanto Ray.
Yoga aasans on Twitter:
Three days before the day, Modi tweeted videos of various "aasans" and its benefits.
Combodia, Berlin, Francce, Germany, Jakarta and few other places celebrated the day today.
Lastly, Modi on Saturday jointly inaugurated a stadium in Jaffna renovated by India along with Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena.
Modi and Sirisena also witnessed the first major event at the renovated stadium -- a celebration of the second International Day of Yoga -- as thousands of students performed 'Surya Namaskar' with President Sirisena, Northern Province Chief Minister C V Wigneswaran and other top Sri Lankan ministers and officials present at the stadium.
"And, today, we have celebrated the start of the International day of Yoga with a curtain raiser from Jaffna, from this Durraiappah Stadium," Modi said.
