Infosys' million-dollar clients rise on year in Q2FY21; see where it got bulk of its revenues from!

The Second largest Indian IT company posted a better than expected results with an year-on-year (YoY) 8.6 per cent rise in its revenues at Rs 24,570 cr. The quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) revenues went up by 3.8 per cent. In constant currency terms, the revenues were up by 4 per cent sequentially.  But do you know where the bulk of the revenues came from and how much does it get from the Indian operations?

Client Data: 

In terms of client contribution, top 25 clients contributed for 34.2 per cent of its revenues in the reporting quarter. The company had 1487 clients as on 30 September as against 1364 clients during the corresponding period in FY20. The number of 100 million dollar and above clients stood at 30 as against 27 during Q2FY20. 

98 per cent of its revenues came from repeat business.  

Revenues by Client Geography: A lion share of Infosys’ revenues came from North America amounting to 60.7 per cent followed by Europe at 24.3 per cent. The rest of the world accounted for 12 per cent. Revenues from India were 3 per cent of its total revenues.

While the company saw a rise in its revenues, it managed a strong 20.5 per cent YoY growth in its profits in the reporting quarter on the back of a higher operating margin at 25.4 per cent in Q2FY21 – an increase of 370 basis points year-on-year.
