Due to the increased demand, Indian airlines have been urged to consider increasing flights to Ukraine, according to the official, who added that the ministry is working with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on the flying services.

The Indian embassy in Kyiv said on Wednesday that more flights will be added in the near future to fulfil the increased demand.

"The embassy of India has been receiving several appeals about non-availability of flights from Ukraine to India. In this regard, students are advised not to resort to panic, but book the earliest available and convenient flights to travel to India," it had said in a statement.

It had also been said that Ukrainian International Airlines, Air Arabia, Fly Dubai, and Qatar Airways are operating flights at present from Ukraine.

"To meet the additional demand, more flights are being planned in the near future, including from Ukrainian International Airlines, Air India, etc. Details on the same would be shared by embassy as and when confirmed," it had said.

The embassy recommended Indian people, particularly students, to temporarily leave the country due to the present situation's uncertainty on Tuesday.

According to the news agency, international passenger flights can be flown by their respective carriers into each other's borders under particular conditions under an air bubble agreement between two countries.

India, currently, has air bubble agreements in place with 35 countries.

Since March 23, 2020, scheduled international commercial passenger flights to and from India have been discontinued.
