Indian Railways: IRCTC ticket cancellation refund is expected to take place automatically and the money will be transferred into the railways passengers' accounts. This has been done as the Indian Railways has cancelled the plying of all trains to contain Coronavirus spread. In the wake of train cancellation caused by Corona lockdown, IRCTC had advised that IRCTC tickets must not be cancelled by the passengers as IRCTC will automatically cancel the tickets and make a refund. It also warned the IRCTC ticket holders that if they cancel on their own, then IRCTC ticket cancellation charges will be deducted while in the case of automatic cancellation, they will get their full IRCTC ticket cancellation refund.

However, it has been found that after automatic IRCTC ticket cancellation, the refund hasn't been credited to passengers' accounts.

This delay in the IRCTC ticket cancellation refund is creating doubt among the passengers who had booked their IRCTC tickets before the lockdown announcement in the wake of Coronavirus spread. However, it's not that the Indian Railways is ignorant of the passengers' concern. It has advised passengers to track their money status for the IRCTC ticket cancellation refund at its official website refundindianrail.gov.in. What a passenger needs to do is to log in at the given website and fill in the details like PNR number and date of journey and submit. IT will display the IRCTC ticket cancellation refund status on your computer monitor clearing all your doubts in regard to the status of your money choked after the IRCTC ticket cancellation.

Notably, Indian Railways has decided to refund all passengers by 21st June 2020.
