The railway authorities plan to deploy AI-powered cameras and CCTV systems at critical locations across the network, including on locomotives.

The initiative involves installing 75 lakh CCTV cameras, with the project valued at Rs 15,000 crore.

The plan includes equipping 40,000 coaches, 14,000 locomotives, and 6,000 electric multiple units (EMUs) with AI-driven CCTV cameras.
