Indian Railways: Bihar gets second Humsafar Express, to run between Patna and Bengaluru - What passengers should know
Indian Railways: The weekly Humsafar Express 02353 will leave from Patna on every Wednesday at 8 pm and will reach Banaswadi (Bengaluru) at 9 pm on on Saturday.

Indian Railways has one more good news for you! Almost 11 months after it got its first Humsafar Express, Bihar is all set to get its second Humsafar Express. Railway Minister Piyush Goyal will be flagging-off the train on March 2 through remote control from Jamui in Bihar.
The weekly Humsafar Express 02353 will leave from Patna on every Wednesday at 8 pm and will reach Banaswadi (Bengaluru) at 9 pm on on Saturday. On the other hand, train number 02354 will leave from Banaswadi on every Sunday at 1.15 pm and will reach Patna at 12.45 pm on Tuesday. The train will stop at Arrah, Buxar, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction, Allahabad Chheoki, Satna, Katni, Jabalpur, Pipariya, Itarsi, Betul, Nagpur, Chandrapur, Balharshah, Warangal, Vijayawada, Gudur, Renigunta, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, and Krishnarajapura.
Now, with the new Humsafar, there are a total of four trains connecting Patna to Bengaluru. At present, three trains connect the two capitals - 12295/12296 Danapur-Bengaluru Sanghmitra Express (daily), 22351/22352 Pataliputra- Yashwantpur Express (Weekly), and 12577/12578 Darbhanga-Maysoore Bagmati Express (Weekly).
In addition, the railway minister will also inaugurate the work of important Jhajha-Batia new rail line project. The Jhajha-Batia new rail line is 20 kilometre long and the estimated cost of the project is said to be Rs 496.37 crore. The new rail will have 24 bridges, 5 rail cum road bridges, 4 rail under bridge and two new stations - Sono and Batia. Once the project is completed, the area will have direct connectivity from Howrah and Patna. The project will help the economy of the region and also reduce the prices of consumer goods in the region as the current transportation cost is too high, said the railways.
