Indian Railways: Mumbai Division is undergoing some maintenance work and due to this activity, train services between Mumbai and Pune would get affected in the coming days. The information was released by the Central  Railway on July 24th in a written release.  Due to this infrastructure maintenance activity, five trains will remain canceled, 10 trains will be short terminated while one train will be diverted from its usual route.

The Central Railways informed about these developments in the Mumbai Division in a press note that read, "The services were disrupted due to cases of a boulder falling in South-East Ghat from mid-June affecting the mobility of trains. To improve the mobility, Mumbai Division has undertaken various infrastructure works. Due to this, the following trains will be canceled/ short terminated/diverted for the period mentioned against them."

"Pune Deccan Express journey commencing Ex- Pune and Ex- Mumbai from 26th of July 2019 to 9th of August 2019, Pune Pragati Express journey commencing Ex Pune and Ex Mumbai from 26th of July 2019 to 9th of August 2019, Gadag Express journey commencing Ex Mumbai from 26th of July 2019 to 9th of August 2019 and Pune Passenger journey commencing Ex-Pune and Ex- Panvel from 26th of July 2019 to 9th of August 2019 will remain canceled," the Central Railways press note informed. In its press note, the Central Railway requested the passengers to bear with the Railway Administration for the inconvenience caused.
