Indian Railways alert! IRCTC offer for SBI card holders! Book free train tickets, win cashback
The IRCTC SBI Platinum Card benefit would be available for Indian Railways passengers booking tickets paying through the SBI cards only.
The Indian Railways arm IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) and the State Bank of India (SBI) have joined hands to give monetary benefits to the passengers. To attract maximum travelers to the Railways, the IRCTC and SBI have developed a new system in which a passenger booking tickets on IRCTC portal using SBI card can avail 10 per cent cashback and free tickets from the reward points being earned by the card holder. In this IRCTC-SBI tie-up, a Railways passenger can avail services like online train ticket booking, railway ticket cancellation, PNR inquiry, Railways reservation chart, etc. But, for availing this system, the SBI card holder will have to use IRCTC SBI Platinum Card.
To add your IRCTC account with the IRCTC SBI Card, one needs to log in at the IRCTC website. After logging in, one needs to click the add loyalty account and put the 11 digit IRCTC SBI Card number and click at the send OTP button. After receiving the OTP, one has to fill up that number in the given space and click at the add loyalty account option. Once you click the add loyalty account option, your IRCTC account gets attached with the SBI card. Now, you can book Indian railways tickets as you have been booking earlier by using IRCTC SBI Platinum Card.
To book Indian railways ticket through your IRCTC SBI Platinum Card, you need to visit the IRCTC website by logging in with the IRCTC ID that you have attached. Remember, to avail the benefits of IRCTC SBI tie-up, one must book tickets by paying through SBI card only. One can book air tickets at cheaper rates also by logging in through the IRCTC website and paying through the SBI cards only.
