Indian equity markets open in the red following global cues

Key Indian equity market indices opened in the red on Friday following global cues.
The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) was trading 71.17 points or 0.23% lower during the early session.
The wider 51-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading 14.50 points or 0.15% lower at 9,632.75 points.
The BSE Sensex, which opened at 31,196.86 points, was trading at 31,142.19 points (at 9.17 a.m.) in the early session, lower 71.17 points or 0.23% from the previous day`s close at 31,213.36 points.
The Sensex touched a high of 31,200.56 points and a low of 31,120.22 points in the trade so far.
