India witnesses changing patterns in business education as the digital ecosystem grows rapidly
Top firms are increasingly in need of digital talent to effectively participate in the ongoing narrative of growth within the digital sector.
The fusion of India's digital momentum with comprehensive upskilling and required education is instrumental in nurturing a workforce capable of contributing significantly to the evolving landscape of the Indian economy
India has gone digital and nearly 600 million smartphone users consume digital services. The shift in consumer behavior has given a boost to digital businesses which are growing rapidly in their contribution to India’s GDP. NASSCOM estimates this gap to be around 1.5 million job openings for digital roles by 2024. India's digital ecosystem is evolving at an unprecedented pace, and this transformation is significantly impacting the education sector. However, the talent ecosystem has not kept pace.
Top firms are increasingly in need of digital talent to effectively participate in the ongoing narrative of growth within the digital sector, while professionals aspiring to thrive in this dynamic landscape must diligently commit to upskilling themselves and pursuing relevant educational opportunities. Digiaccel Learning stands poised to address this critical digital skill gap through its specialized business education programs.
The founder of Digiaccel Learning states that the company aims to enable professionals to accelerate their digital careers through specialist business education. This is powered by an innovative curriculum, application-first pedagogy, and industry-expert mentors. Digiaccel Learning runs industry-leading programs in e-commerce and applied marketing. Additionally, the company follows a ‘Learning by Doing’ approach across all its education programs.
In the last year, the company has successfully facilitated the upskilling of more than 2,500 professionals within prominent organizations like HUL, Amazon, Nykaa, Asian Paints, Godrej Consumer, WPP group, etc. Karan Bhagi, Founder & CEO of Digiaccel Learning said, “The problem leading to the digital talent gap is that the MBA is outdated. It was designed for the offline world and to help build talent for offline jobs. It is a wide but shallow program that has unfortunately not kept pace with the changing industry needs.” He also added, “As operators in digital-first businesses like eCommerce, consumer tech, and D2C, we could see the need for specialist education to fill this gap. So it was the first-hand experience of the problem and a passion for education that led to the idea of Digiaccel Learning.”
“Our programs are designed for the learning needs of digital native talent. The curriculum is designed by reverse engineering the secret sauce of some of the world’s top companies into learning frameworks. These are created by some of the leading professionals in these fields. Digiaccel’s education is application first. Learners build skills by applying the education to solve real-world problems through live projects, simulations, and cases. Learners are also taught by industry mentors who have been there. This ensures that the learning is far more relatable and ineffective in creating outcomes,” added Aalekh Tripathi, Co-Founder & CMO of Digiaccel Learning.
The company recently launched its first offline 1-year PGP in Applied Marketing. This full-time program is set at the state-of-the-art Digiaccel campus in Cybercity, Gurugram, and will prepare students for new-age careers like eCommerce, D2C, Growth Marketing, and Product Management.
