The home side will be led by an in form Rohit Sharma while Bangladesh will be captained by Mahmudullah following the suspension of Shakib Al Hasan. Bangladesh will also be without the services of their star opener Tamim Iqbal. Both the sides have faced each other eight times in the shortest format of the game with men in blue emerging victorious every time.
The series will give chance to youngsters like Shreyas Iyer, Sanju Samson, Rishabh Pany and Shivam Dube to impress the selectors and cement their place in the starting XI. India have also recalled Shardul Thakur for the series. Once a regular, the Mumbai pacer hasn't represented the national side in a long time.
