India's daily Covid-19 cases dropped further on March 1, 2022, with 6,915 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours, according to the data from the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Furthermore, the number of active cases has decreased even further to 92,472, which represents 0.22 per cent of the country's total positive cases.

In the same period, 180 Covid-related deaths were also reported, bringing the death toll to 5,14,023.

With the recovery of 16,864 patients in the last 24 hours, the cumulative number now stands at 4,23,24,550. As a result, India's recovery rate stands at 98.59 per cent, according to the ministry.

During the same period, a total of 9,01,647 tests were conducted across the country, making the cumulative number of tests over 76.83 crore.

As a result, the weekly positivity rate has fallen below 1%, and the daily positivity rate has also fallen below 1%. The daily positivity rate is currently 0.77 per cent.

As of this morning, India has administered over 18 lakh Covid vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, bringing its Covid vaccination coverage to 177.70 crore. Over 2,04,61,239 sessions have been conducted.

As per the ministry, the states and UTs have more than 14.08 crore balance and unutilised vaccine doses.
