India reports 39 New COVID-19 cases, active infections tally at 1,505
In the latest update, India has registered 39 fresh cases of COVID-19, pushing the total count of active infections to 1,505, as per the recently updated data from the Union Health Ministry on Thursday. The reported death toll attributed to the virus has now reached a staggering 5,31,920, with figures accurate as of 8 am. The cumulative tally of confirmed COVID-19 cases across the nation has risen to 4.49 crore (4,49,96,151).
An encouraging trend is the substantial rise in recovered cases, with an impressive total of 4,44,62,726 individuals having successfully overcome the virus. The recovery rate, a crucial indicator, stands strong at 98.81 percent, as reported on the official website of the health ministry. Conversely, the case fatality rate, representing the proportion of deaths in relation to confirmed cases, is recorded at 1.18 percent.
