India Post on Saturday warned people against fraudulent URLs (Uniform Resource Locators) and Websites claiming to provide subsidies/prizes through certain surveys and quizzes.

According to the official statement, “India Post over the recent days has been observing various URLs and Websites getting circulated in social media such as WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram and through emails and SMS containing tiny URLs/Short URLs, claiming to be providing government Subsidies through certain surveys, quizzes.”

The official Twitter handle of PIB Fact Check said, “A FAKE lucky draw in the name of @IndiaPostOffice is viral on social media and is offering a chance to win Rs 6,000 after seeking one's personal details.” It is a scam and not related to India Post, the fact check handle also said.
