India Energy Week 2024: Energy ministers from 17 countries to participate
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will host a roundtable of oil and gas CEOs, as well as India-US investment roundtables.
India Energy Week 2024, which will be held in Goa from February 6 to 9, is projected to attract 17 energy ministers from other nations, over 35,000 guests, and more than 900 exhibitors, Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Puri said on Monday.
This year, six dedicated country pavilions will be constructed at the event site, representing Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America.

In addition, a dedicated Make in India Pavilion with over 300 exhibitors will be set up to demonstrate innovative energy solutions spearheaded by Indian MSMEs.
With a large number of domestic and foreign competitors, this yearly event provides a platform for them to demonstrate their abilities in both domestic and worldwide markets.
In just two years, India Energy Week has distinguished itself from other worldwide energy conferences and exhibitions by leveraging India's strong economic credentials, vast and rising consumption base, and favourable investment climate.
Building on its remarkable success, IEW-24's duration and number of strategic sessions have been extended from three to four days. This year, additional focused sessions are planned, including 46 strategic sessions and 46 technical sessions, more than doubling the number of technical sessions held last year.
In the technical sessions, the number of papers submitted in the run-up to the event has increased to approximately 2,000.
The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas presented an event, "Energy Startups: Driving the Energy Future," at ONGC Deendayal Urja Bhawan in New Delhi in preparation for India Energy Week 2024. The session intended to promote energy independence and showcase India's vibrant startup ecosystem.
The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas hosted an energy startup challenge known as 'Avinya'. Five businesses were chosen from among about 120 applications received following a tiered selection process.
The winners of the startup competition will receive mentorship from industry veterans as well as the opportunity to present their startup ideas at India Energy Week'24, where they will showcase their cutting-edge solutions to a worldwide audience.
Building on India's G20 priorities, a number of side events are scheduled for the IEW, covering crucial topics such as Global South Cooperation and Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCUs).
India, the world's third-largest oil importer and user, relies on crude oil from various worldwide markets to meet domestic demand.
