Independence Day 2022: Delhi Police issues traffic advisory – Avoid these routes on August 15
According to the advisory, traffic for general public around Red Fort will be closed from 4 am to 10 am.
Delhi Police Traffic Advisory 2022: The Delhi Police has issued a traffic advisory for the smooth movement of traffic in the national capital on the occasion of Independence Day.
According to the advisory, traffic for general public around Red Fort will be closed from 4 am to 10 am. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will unfurl the Tricolour at rampart of the Red Fort and also address the nation. This will be the 9th time when PM Modi will lead the Independence Day celebrations.
As per Delhi Police traffic advisory, following roads will be closed for general traffic from 4 am to 10 am and only labeled vehicles will be permitted:
1. Netaji Subhash Marg from Delhi Gate to Chatta Rail.
2. Lothian Road from GPO Delhi to Chatta Rail.
3. S.P.Mukherjee Marg from H.C.Sen Marg to Yamuna Bazar Chowk.
4. Chandni Chowk Road from Fountain Chowk to Red Fort.
5. Nishad Raj Marg from Ring Road to Netaji Subhash Marg.
6. Esplanade Road and its Link Road to Netaji Subhash Marg.
7. Ring Road from Rajghat to ISBT.
8. Outer ring Road from ISBT to IP Flyover i.e. Salimgarh Bypass.
In view of #IndependenceDay celebrations on August 15, 2022 certain traffic restrictions have been imposed in Delhi.
