Prime Minister Narendra Modi met President Donald Trump on June 26 for a White House dinner. The two world leaders made a joint statement and went on to talk about a host of issues regarding Indo-US relations.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his maiden visit to the White House met the President of the United States, Donald Trump on Monday afternoon. The meeting was marked by a speech from both world leaders followed by one-on-one talks and statements to the media without taking any questions, a report by Reuters said on Tuesday.
PM Modi also met with America's Vice President, Mike Pence who tweeted, "Our two nations are tied together in friendship."

His maiden visit to the White House was also followed by a welcome tweet by the first lady, Melania Trump.

The two world leaders went on to speak about relaxing trade ties between the two nations and to speak about aviation deals.
