In election season, money rains for IT, data professionals
The political parties are even not barring themselves, keeping trained experts from renowned institutes like IITs and IIMs. According to an estimate, around 5 lakh professionals have been deployed by various political organsiations.
Lok Sabha Elections 2019 have brought cheers to IT and data professionals across the country. The general elections are scheduled to be held in seven phases this year, starting from April 11 to May 19 and the results will be announced on May 23. The political parties are busy campaigning for their candidates, party promotions, media campaigns etc and the need of the hour are data, social media, IT, research and graphics experts. A report by Hindi daily Hindustan suggests there is a room for about 10 to 12 lakh professionals of these fields in Lok Sabha Elections 2019. Rs 10,000 to Rs 3,00,000 are being offered to these experts for their services.

As the dates of elections are coming closer, demand for these experts is increasing rapidly across the country. The parties have recruited interns from top colleges and universities to make their work fool-proof. Managers have been hired to look after the crowd management and tent facilities in the political rallies are being given Rs 5,000 to Rs 80,000.
As the political personalities are required to roam at various places, markets, public locations etc, the demand for new drivers, logistics managers has also increased.
No political party or candidate is ready to take any risk, whatsoever. Politicians are even offering professionals permanent jobs into their respective areas of expertise. The parties are making a set team for each task to ensure they do not lag at anything important.
Here is the expected salary range for other categories of experts:
1. Graphic Designer- Rs 10,000 to Rs 30,000
2. Press Release writer- Rs 30,000 to Rs 80,000
3. Even Management- Rs 30,000 to Rs 1,00,000
The parties are paying Rs 15,000 to Rs 50,000 salary to social media managers for handling Twitter and Facebook while data analysts and political strategists are getting Rs 3 lakh as salary.
