In conversation with Anil Singhvi, Basant Maheshwari says dollar may touch Rs 225-mark in next 25 years
In the coming time, unemployment will surge, Basant said.
Zee Business Exclusive: More differences in the purchasing power of India and the USA will in turn depreciate the Indian Rupee further, said BM Wealth Advisor Basant Maheshwari in conversation with Zee Business Managing Editor Anil Singhvi.
In the coming time, unemployment will surge, he said. "Rapid Industrialisation in the country will lay off unskilled workers. In the future, jobs for laborers will be susceptible to automation. To avoid this, the government needs to commence social security schemes for unskilled workers," opined Basant.
Moreover, the declining population will be there 25 years down the line. It solely depends on the government's policy to maintain the demographic of the country. Nonetheless, at some point, the existing human resource will suffice the needs of society.

Conventionally, the rupee depreciates as much as 50% in 10 years against the dollar. With this calculation, in the coming 25 years, the Indian rupee will hike up to Rs 200-225 against the dollar, said Basant on being asked to give his conviction on the value of the Indian rupee in 25 years.
