ICC Worl Cup 2019: To enhance the World Cup fervour and make Team India fans' trip to England more exciting, the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has announced various cashback offers for the cricket fans travelling to England and cheer the Indian team there. These cash back offers are for the international RuPay cardholders on their shopping and dining in the UK during the ICC World Cup 2019.

Commenting on the cashback campaign on RuPay card, Praveena Rai, COO, NPCI said, “The World Cup fever has already gripped the nation. Fans and cricket aficionados are already on their way to the host country to cheer their favourite team as well as turn this event into a fulfilling vacation. In order to further enhance the World Cup fervour and make their trip more exhilarating, we have introduced cashback campaigns on RuPay international card, which would enable travellers to earn incredible offers at merchant outlets as well as restaurants in the UK.”

NPCI list of cash back offers are as follows:

1) The 20% Shopping Bonanza: RuPay International Card offers 20% cashback (capped at a maximum of Rs 2,500/-) for successful POS transaction in the United Kingdom at any merchant location except restaurants. The cashback amount will be credited in RuPay International Cardholders respective Bank account within 30 days of the transaction date. The limited period offer will be valid until the end of August 2019.

2) The 50% Dining Bonanza: RuPay International Card offers 50% cashback (capped at a maximum of Rs 10,000/-) for successful POS transaction at any restaurant in the United Kingdom. The cashback amount will be credited in RuPay International Cardholders respective bank account within 30 days of the transaction date. The limited period offer will be valid until the end of August 2019.
