ICAI Intermediate Exam study period: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has decided to relax the 8-month mandatory study period for its students to seven months. In the latest ICAI Exam Notification available on its official website icai.nic.in, it is mandatory for the students to complete an 8-month study period before appearing in their intermediate exams. A CA aspirant can sit into the ICAI intermediate exam after completion of their CA foundation exam. This decision by the ICAI to reduce the mandatory 8-month study period is aimed at aiding the CA students, who had to face problems in May 2020 intermediate examination registration.

According to the latest media reports, the CA students had to undergo a mandatory 8-month study time-span, which would have them missing out on the May 2020 intermediate examination. The ICAI has now reduced the study period by one month and from now onwards, CA students will now need to complete only a 7-month mandatory study period.
