IBBI gets a new Executive Director - Santosh Kumar Shukla
He has been serving in various capacities in Departments of Legal Affairs, Enforcement, Enquiries and Adjudication, etc
Santosh Kumar Shukla has taken charge as Executive Director in Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI). He will be fourth executive director in the bankruptcy regulator. Immediately before joining IBBI, he was serving as Chief General Manager in the Enforcement Department of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). Shukla has been with the securities market regulator, SEBI since September, 1996.
He has been serving in various capacities in Departments of Legal Affairs, Enforcement, Enquiries and Adjudication, etc. He has also served as Regional Director of the Western Regional Office of SEBI at Ahmedabad.
The area of experience include policy formulation , supervision and enforcement. Has worked on various committees of SEBI. Shukla is the second CGM who on deputation this year, last month Manoj Kumar, CGM Incharge of Market Regulation Department in SEBI joined the International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) Ahmedabad.

SEBI has huge talent pool of experienced officers in finance and regulatory matters. In the past senior officers have joined to other organizations. Earlier Ravikumar Duraisamy and Satya Ranjan Prased joined NCLT as members. Praveen Trivedi from SEBI had joined PFRDA as Executive Director. In SEBI officers are rotated from one department to another at set intervals which gives them a wide exposure in policy making, enforcement, investigation and surveillance as well.
