IAF AFCAT 2020: Indian Air Force has published the short notification for Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 2019 for the courses commencing in January 2021. The courses are for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Flying Branch and Permanent Commission (PC) / Short Service Commission (SSC) in Ground Duty (Technical and Non-technical) Branch.

Interested and eligible candidates can apply online for AFCAT 2020 test through www.careerindianairforce.cdac.in OR www.afcat.cdac.in. Notably, the last date to submit the application is December 30, 2019.

IAF has notified to fill 249 commissioned officers in the organisation. Notably, the IAF AFCAT 2020 Training will commence in the first week of January 2021 for all courses at Air Force Academy Dundigal (Hyderabad).

Important Dates
Opening date of application: December 1, 2019
Closing date of application: December 30, 2019

Educational Qualification:
For the post of Technical Branch, the candidates should have passed a 4-year degree program in engineering or equivalent, for detailed qualification refers to the notification below.
For the post of Flying Branch, the candidates should be a graduates in any discipline from a recognised University with minimum 60% marks in aggregate and should have passed Mathematics and Physics at 10+2 level, Alternatively should have BE / B Tech degree (with minimum 60% marks.

Training details:
The duration of training for Flying and Ground Duty (Technical) Branches is 74 weeks and that of Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branches is 52 weeks at Air Force Training Establishments.

Age Limit:
The candidate should be between 20 to 24 years as on January 1, 2021.

Selection Process:
The selection process of IAF AFCAT 2020 comprises of Stage I (screening test) and Stage II written test.
