How to update address in Aadhaar card online - Here is the easiest way to change it

If you have changed your residence or moved to a new city, then do not forget to update your new address in your Aadhaar. As everything is online, the process of Aadhaar address update is hassle-free.  You can do it even if you do not hold any address proof of your current residence. For that, you have to get validation letter from UIDAI. 

Steps to update address in Aadhaar (in case you have address proof):-

1. Go to ssup.uidai.gov.in
2. Log in with your Aadhaar number
3. Enter your recent/correct address
4. Upload documents for your new address
5. Submit your request and Save URN

2. Enter secret code received on validation letter 
3. Preview your address

How to get address validation letter from UIDAI?

You can submit an address validation request online from "Request for address validation letter" option on the website. To submit request, the resident must get consent from an address lender or verifier who would allow their Aadhaar registered address to be used by the resident. An address lender or verifier could be a family member, relative, friend or landlord where the person is presently residing.
