Aadhaar card getting misplaced is no more a problem of the level that it used to be a few months ago. From December 1, 2018, the UIDAI has started Aadhaar re-print service online. It's not a free service as one needs to pay Rs 50 for getting his or her Aadhaar card reprinted. Interestingly, those Indian residents who don't have a registered mobile card can also get their Aadhaar card reprinted. What they need is to use "Order Aadhaar Reprint" using Non-Registered / Alternate Mobile Number on the UIDAI website uidai.gov.in.
How to raise request online Aadhaar card re-print?
To raise online Aadhaar card re-print, "Order Aadhaar Reprint" request can be raised by visiting the UIDAI Official Website or Resident Portal using 12 digits Aadhaar Number (UID) or 16 digits Virtual Identification Number (VID). After raising the Aadhaar card re-print order, one can choose either registered mobile option or non-registered mobile number option. In case of registered mobile number option, OTP/TOTP will be received on the mobile number while in case of non-registered mobile number the OTP will be sent on the alternate mobile number given by the Aadhaar card holder applying for Aadhaar card reprint.

Step by step Aadhaar card re-print process for registered mobile number applicant:
For registered mobile number users, Aadhaar card re-print process is given below. An applicant just needs to follow the given process in a given chronology.
1] Visit uidai.gov.in or resident.uidai.gov.in;
2] Click on “Order Aadhaar Reprint” Service;
3] Enter your 12 digit Aadhaar Number (UID) or 16 digits Virtual Identification Number (VID);
4] Enter the security code;
5] If you have TOTP, choose the option "I have TOTP” by clicking in checkbox else Click on "Request OTP" button;
6] Enter OTP/TOTP received on registered mobile number;
7] Click on the checkbox against "Terms and Conditions";
8] Click on "Submit" Button to complete OTP/TOTP verification;
9] On the next screen, a preview of the Aadhaar details will appear for verification by the resident before placing the order for reprint;
10] Click on "Make payment". You will be re-directed to Payment Gateway page with payment options as Credit/Debit Card, Net banking and UPI;
11] After successful payment, a receipt will get generated having a digital signature which can be downloaded by the resident in PDF format. The resident will also get the Service Request Number via SMS;
12] Resident can track the status of SRN till dispatch of Aadhaar Letter on Check Aadhaar Reprint Request Status; and
13] Resident can further track delivery status by visiting DoP website.
