Aadhaar card is among the most important identity documents asked by banks while opening a savings, current or recurring account. The government, banks and other financial institutions have been encouraging customers to link their Aadhaar with account. A bank account is a must for every person who has income, investments or loans. The process to link this 12-digit biometric with a bank account is very simple and can be followed in just a few clicks. One can carry this procedure either from a bank ATM, internet banking, branches and apps depending upon the lender concerned. Interestingly, if you are a State Bank of India (SBI) customer, then note your lender provides you with multiple channels to link your Aadhaar number to your existing account .
