How to get Indian Railways train tickets for free; go to irctc.co.in, check steps

If the travelling bug is in you, here is a freebie that will make you jump with joy. The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) offers train tickets for free via State Bank of India (SBI) card. IRCTC on its website, irctc.co.in declared: "Here's announcing the arrival of exclusivity. Presenting the IRCTC SBI Platinum Card. The only credit card that gives you Free* Train Tickets... The IRCTC SBI Card is brought to you by IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) and SBI Cards." 

According to IRCTC, the IRCTC SBI Platinum Card offers 350 reward points, 1.8 per cent transaction charges waiver, 2.5 per cent fuel surcharges waiver, and over 10 per cent value back on Indian Railways bookings, reported NDTV.

Benefits of IRCTC SBI Platinum Card
On AC1, AC11, CC booking, customers can get up to 10 per cent value back with the IRCTC Platinum card at irctc.co.in.

Customers can also get a discount of 1.8 per cent on transaction charge every time they book their ticket with the IRCTC SBI Platinum Card. 

Customers can also shop, travel, dine with the IRCTC SBI Platinum Card. They can also earn one reward point for every Rs. 125 spent on non-fuel retail purchases including Indian Railways ticket purchases at irctc.co.in. These earned points can be redeemed on irctc.co.in against Railways train ticket purchases.

On fuel purchase ranging from Rs. 500-Rs. 3,000 (exclusive of GST and other charges) with the IRCTC SBI Platinum Card customers can avail 2.5 per cent transaction fee waiver across all petrol pumps. Rs 100 per statement cycle per credit card account is the maximum surcharge waiver that one customer can avail.

According to IRCTC, for every Rs. 125 spent on other retail purchases, including railway ticket purchases, at irctc.co.in, customers can get 1 reward point.
