Holi 2024 Delhi Traffic Police Advisory, Delhi Metro Holi timings on Holi, Noida metro timings on Holi: As per the advisory issued by the police, a strict watch will be kept on road violations, including speeding, triple-riding, and zig-zag driving. Special checking teams will be deployed at major intersections, drinking points, and vulnerable points for the Holi celebrations to detect and prosecute traffic violations. Holi 2024 Delhi Traffic Police Advisory, Delhi Metro Holi timings on Holi, Noida metro timings on Holi: On the occasion of Holi (Monday, March 25, 2024), the Delhi Traffic Police has deployed special teams across major road intersections in the city to check drunk driving and red-light jumping incidents.
As per the advisory issued by the police, a strict watch will be kept on road violations, including speeding, triple-riding, and zig-zag driving. Special checking teams will be deployed at major intersections, drinking points, and vulnerable points for the Holi celebrations to detect and prosecute traffic violations.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (New Delhi Traffic) Prashant Gautam said they have made elaborate arrangements so that the festival of colours is celebrated safely and peacefully.
"In the New Delhi range, they have deployed around 400 traffic police personnel at 61 traffic points and around 40 joint pickets with local police. Besides regulating the traffic, the focus will be on drunken driving, triple riding, without a helmet, and without seat belt driving," he said, a PTI report said.
"These special traffic police checking teams will be stationed on various roads and strategic locations/intersections all over Delhi, along with PCR vans and local police teams, to check drunken driving, red-light jumping, etc," the advisory added.

Police also cited the direction of the Supreme Court Committee on Road Safety, which allows the seizing of a driving licence and its suspension for three months in cases of drunk driving, red-light jumping, using a mobile phone while driving, and dangerous driving.
Police also advised people not to perform stunts on two-wheelers and to celebrate Holi indoors, not in public places or on roads. The celebration of Hola Mohalla by the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee on Monday may also lead to traffic, police said.
The festival will be celebrated till evening at Gurudwara Damdama Sahib, behind Humayun Tomb, near Nizamuddin. A large number of devotees are expected to participate in it.
In view of the event, heavy vehicular traffic is expected on Mathura Road, Bharat Scouts and Guides Marg, at and around Neela Gumbad, Oberoi Flyover, under Lodhi Flyover, Zakir Hussain Marg, and Lala Lajpat Rai Marg, police said.
Delhi metro timings on Holi
Delhi Metro Services will start at 2:30 pm on Holi as per the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).
"On the day of the 'Holi festival, i.e. 25th March 2024 (Monday), Metro services will NOT be available till 2:30 PM on all Lines of the Delhi Metro including Rapid Metro/Airport Express Line." Delhi Metro Rail Corporation posted on X.
"Metro train services will thus start at 2:30 pm from terminal stations on all Lines on 25th March and will continue normally thereafter," DMRC said.
DMRC also said that in case of encroachment and parking by Auto/e-rickshaw driver, passengers can contact station authorities or dial our 24*7 IVRS helpline 155370 for immediate assistance.
"Auto/e-rickshaw drivers and other encroachers are regularly removed from the station premises by the station staff and security staff. Moreover, the mentioned area does not come under the purview of DMRC." DMRC posted on X.

Noida Metro timings on Holi
Passenger services on the Noida-Greater Noida Metro will commence at 2 pm on March 25 on account of Holi, officials said on Saturday.
After 2 pm, the trains would be available at a normal frequency of 15 minutes, the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) said.
NMRC Managing Director Lokesh M said, "On the occasion of the Holi festival - March 25, 2024 (Monday), Metro services will not be available till 2 pm.
"Metro train services will thus start at 2 pm from both terminal stations on Aqua Line and will continue normally thereafter at a frequency of 15 minutes," the senior IAS officer said.
The Aqua Line of the NMRC continues in Noida and Greater Noida through 21 stations over a distance of 29.7 km.
The Delhi Metro, whose Blue Line and Magenta Line have stations in Noida, will start its services at 2.30 pm on March 25, officials said on Friday.
