GST on Casino, Online Gaming, Horse Racing: GoM to meet once again

GST on Casino, Online Gaming: The Group of Ministers (GoM) met today to discuss the tax bracket of Goods and Services Tax (GST) for Casino, Online Gaming, and Horse Racing. However, no final decision was taken in today's meeting. Here is Zee Business Tarun Sharma's report.

According to the report, a meeting was held on Tuesday to decide the tax bracket of GST for Casino, Online Gaming, and Horse Racing. The discussion was to increase the GST from 18% to 28%. Along with this, an opinion had also to be made on the GST on the betting amount or on the entire amount. However, nothing finalized in the meeting.

Sharma said GoM will meet once again before GST Council.

It is to be noted that the meeting was held last month too. Whereas the decision was not taken in that GST Council and was asked to make a decision by July 15, said Sharma.
