Further, Sarma in another tweet said, "11260 State Pool teachers working under SSA with fixed salary, and 5243 contractual teachers working in various high schools will draw equivalent pay, service tenure and leave enhancement at par with their counterparts in state government."
Moreover, Sarma said, "Extremely pleased to share GOA has made ALL admissions - from HS upto PG level including medical, engineering, polytechnic for academic year 2020-21 - absolutely free. Under stress due to COVID19, this shall be big relief to families. All prospectus will be free."
Also, Sarma announced the launch of Vidya Daan program. "We're pleased to launch a unique program #VidyaDaan which shall serve as a platform for anyone to donate knowledge on any subject. This shall be hosted as e-content for children of class-1 to 12 to ensure continuity of quality learning across the country," Sarma tweeted.
Giving more details of Assam Edu Care program, Sarma said, "Under Anundoram Barooah Award students with distinction & star marks in HSLC exams are rewarded with a computer every year. This year, instead of laptop, they shall get Rs 20,000 in their bank accounts in DBT mode. They're free to purchase computers of their choice."
