Good news for Indian Railways passengers: Now, shop while travelling in Tejas trains by IRCTC

IRCTC is soon going to start Tejas Express trains between New Delhi to Lucknow and Mumbai to Ahmedabad. The Tejas Express running between New Delhi to Lucknow will be the first train to be run by IRCTC. Tejas trains are very modern in terms of facilities, passengers traveling in these trains will also be able to enjoy shopping during the journey. Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) will start Tejas Express trains between New Delhi to Lucknow and Mumbai to Ahmedabad soon. Equipped with all the modern facilities, passengers in the Tejas trains will be able to enjoy shopping experience too during their journey.
These articles will be sold on the train
Keeping in mind the need and demand of passengers during the journey, IRCTC is toying with the idea to provide onboard shopping facility in Tejas trains, wherein, the vendors will sell cosmetic products, earphones, gadgets, perfumes, handbags, watches, purses, skincare products, gift items along with consumer goods.
Western Railway commences this facility
Recently, Western Railway's Mumbai Central-Ahmedabad Shatabdi Express introduced this facility in as many as 16 trains. These 16 trains will be Mail / Express trains. The facility will be available only for the passengers traveling in AC coaches. Passengers traveling in AC coaches will having shopping experience of a flight and would be able to buy while sitting on their seat.
This is how you can buy goods
In the train, vendors will take a luggage trolley to every seat. Sales executives selling goods will be present in a special dress and will also have a POS (point of sale) machine. After buying the goods, you need to pay through digital mode through the POS machine. These sales executives will provide a catalog containing the information and price of the products to the passengers traveling in the coach. Travelers can choose the goods of their choice by looking into the catalog and then order the sales executives.

Notably, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will flag off the Lucknow-Delhi Tejas Express on October 4. The train will cover the journey between the cities in six hours and 15 minutes.
