Negative RT PCR report was made mandatory via a 12th May order, for all fliers across the country coming to Maharashtra including Mumbai. As per the Government Directives, any passenger arriving in state of Maharashtra by any mode of transport were required to carry negative RT PCR test conducted 48 hours prior to commencing the journey.

These restrictions were primarily imposed on the passengers arriving from Gujarat, Goa, Delhi, Rajasthan and Kerala, however, due to increase in number of cases it was decided to impose restrictions on all the passengers arriving in city of Mumbai from any part of the country.
