Gold slips marginally to Rs 30,433; track city-wise prices here
Gold price in India for 24 karat gold slipped Rs 73 today to come in at Rs 30,433 per 10 grams, while price for 22 karat gold stood at Rs 27,897 per 10 grams, according to goldpriceindia.com.
Gold price varies across different cities in the country due to various local market factors like demand and supply of gold, state government taxes and transportation charges of physical gold.
24 karat gold is also known as 999 gold and is the purest form of gold available in market in the form of gold coins and bars.

Similarly, 22 karat gold is known as 916 gold and is generally used to make jewellery.
Highest gold price in February remained Rs 30,828 per 10 grams while the lowest gold price was Rs 29,820. Gold price on February 01 was Rs 30,451 per 10 grams.

Global trend
Gold prices held steady around a one-week low on Thursday, weighed down by minutes from the last US Federal Reserve meeting that showed policymakers backed further interest rate rises.
Spot gold was almost unchanged at $1,323.95 an ounce at 0353 GMT, a day after it fell to its lowest in a week at 1,322.20. The precious metal has fallen 1.7 percent so far this week.
US gold futures were down 0.5 percent at $1,325.8 per ounce.
