GMLR gets green signal in budget allocation: How it will benefit you
Are you planning to buy your dream house in Mumbai? Then Mulund, Nahur, Airoli, Kanjurmarg are Mumbais new realty hub - A gift by BMC.
Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's (BMC) most awaited road project for Mumbai Coastal Road and Goregaon-Mulund Link Road (GMLR) has been alloted Rs 100 crore in budget 2019. The allocation for GMLR project will push adjacent areas like Mulund, Nahur, Airoli and Kanjurmarg in the form of realty hub and will create a demand in future.
Though Mulund-Nahur belt is highly appreciated realty market from last few years, this project will also give relief from traffic mainly on three major link roads which are Sion Chembur Link Road (SCLR), Jogeshwari Vasai Link Road (JVLR), Godhbandar road in Thane and Arey Road in Powai.
It will be the fourth east-west corridor connecting the suburbs and will cut down the travelling time between Mulund and Goregaon to 15-20 mins as compared to the existing time of an hour. GMLR will be the huge ad-on to Mulund infrastructure and will significantly boost the real estate market in Mulund and its peripheral areas. It will positively impact Mulund in the near future driving the real estate demand.
Here are the views Mr Rajat Rastogi, Executive Director, Runwal Group said, “The allocation of Rs. 100 crore by BMC for the Goregaon-Mulund Link Road (GMLR) will be a game changer for the adjoining areas like Mulund, Nahur, Airoli, Kanjurmarg etc.
It will significantly cut down the east-west commute time and further boost the popularity of these areas. Mulund-Nahur belt is already a high appreciation realty market which has seen a major transformation in the last few years. GMLR will not only ease traffic congestion but will also improve connectivity and increase the demand for real estate in Mulund and nearby realty hubs.”
